Sustainability, consumption, design for new economics

My research focuses generally on the relationship between design and consumption, more specifically on how acts of design help shape economic relations between and among people and material things. I draw from literature on socio-technical change, practice theory, actor-network theory, critical design, design for social innovation, design for sustainability, service design and ecological economics. I am co-supervised by Daniela Sangiorgi in design and Elizabeth Shove in sociology.
