There has been a shift from in-person workshops toward remote approaches that uses online apps, platforms, and digital as tools to support creative engagement with communities. Some of the challenges of these approaches involve understanding the grammar of mediums, people’s limitations to responses, lack of resources, and geographic limitations such as time zones. To support the design of new online approaches to distributed co-design this research proposal addresses the research question:
How can we create new distributed co-design online approaches to work in collaboration within our organisation and external partners?
The DisCO approach aims at designing and delivering creative engagement activities using existing technologies, platforms and apps (e.g. Miro, trello, Microsoft Teams) and services to work collaboratively external partners and communities in research projects at distance.
