ImaginationLancaster’s Emmanuel Tsekleves, convenor of the DRS Special Interest Group on Global Health, joined forces with the United National University – International Institute of Global Health to develop Early Career Professional Workshop Series.
The first : Workshop Series, focusing on translation of Research to Policy, aimed at providing insights for those looking to gain experience in the field of translating evidence to policy took place. It took online on Wednesday 14th October. The interactive workshop was attended by 40 early career researchers from South East Asia and Africa.
The interactive workshop consisted of talks delivered by health policy experts and breakout sessions giving participants an opportunity to engage in real examples relevant to the topic. The feedback receive was extremely positive with participants requesting further sessions on the theme of ‘research to policy’.
The next series of interactive workshop will focus on: policy advocacy and communication skills.
