We are pleased to announce an open invitation to the launch of the PROUD project at ImaginationLab on the 8th May. Keynote speaker is Stéphane Vincent, founder of the French innovation lab La 27e Région, a laboratory for the co-design of public policy.

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the PROUD project at ImaginationLab on the 8th May.

Led by ImaginationLancaster (Lancaster University) with the Storey Creative Industry Centre as UK partners, the PROUD team are holding an event to launch the €4 million EU INTERREG funded project in the UK. We will explain how we will engage with public authorities, local business and academic communities to respond to three regional challenges through innovative co-design processes.

Co-design is an approach that enables a wide range of people to have a creative contribution in the formulation and solution of a problem. Going beyond mere consultation, co-design builds and deepens an equal collaboration between citizens affected by or attempting to resolve a particular challenge.

The first PROUD co-design project will be introduced at this event; a collaboration with Lancashire County Council in partnership with Lancaster City Council to develop a shared aspiration and vision for the Lancaster City Park project, going beyond public consultation through the use of an effective co-design approach.

This will be enabled through the recruitment of designers from the UK and across Europe to participate in co-design projects. A rapid prototyping lab in Imagination will be co-funded by HighWire, a Centre for Doctoral Training at Lancaster University funded by the RCUK Digital Economy Programme. We are also investing in a co-design space at The Storey.

Time: 4.30pm – 6.30pm

Venue: LICA Building, Lancaster University
